Eating out in Glasgow and beyond...!

Buck’s Bar

Further to the earlier review, I was only too happy to try out the takeaway quality one boring Friday at work.  Suffice it to say that I, again, had an incredibly tasty burger.  Massive chicken fillet!  I opted for The  Mothership this time which came with a herb mayo and lettuce.  Excellent.

Reviews are better late than never, no?

Having heard that they did awesome chicken, we visited Buck’s Bar a while back for a working lunch.  When we visited in November 17 we were able to have a burger and salt & chili chips for a tenner – I’m not sure if that is still the case but it was pretty good value.

They only use rapeseed oil to fry all their chicken as it is low in saturated fat and high in omega 3, vitamin E and monounsaturated fat (which reduces cholesterol).  Healthy fried chicken? Well, perhaps!

We both had the Kim Jong Bun which came with Korean Gojuchang mayo and street slaw.  The burger was absolutely excellent!  Succulent, tasty chicken with spicy mayo and slaw, served with spicy fries – what’s not to like?  I’d say the best chicken burger I’ve had in Glasgow!

The portion sizes certainly were not shy, as you can see above, and the food was served in a wooden tray which easily caught any falling burger paraphernalia!

You must check out Buck’s if you have not – great for lunch and I suspect we’ll try out dinner and liquor some time soon!
